R9 Recruitment are looking for an experienced and skilled Floor Layer to join our clients growing team. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality flooring installations across residential properties, working to high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Install a variety of flooring types including vinyl, carpet, laminate, lino, safety flooring, and tiles.
- Carry out floor preparation works such as screeding, levelling, and damp-proofing.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing flooring.
- Measure and assess work areas to ensure accurate material usage.
- Work independently or as part of a team to deliver works on time and to spec.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants, residents, and clients.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Floor Layer (domestic or commercial).
- Strong knowledge of flooring materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Ability to interpret job specifications, drawings, and measurements.
- High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (company vehicle may be provided).
- CSCS card (preferred).
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
