I am delighted to be working with a revolutionary AI DAM Startup that is growing and now looking for its first Software Engineering Manager in the UK. This is an exciting position which offers growth, the opportunity to take ownership and build a team, alongside being involved across the business and full software development lifecycle. This is a hybrid position and you will meet once a fortnight to collaborate with the engineering team.

Alongside a competitive salary of £90,000 - £110,000, there is the opportunity to have share options in this privately owned scale-up. In this position, you will be responsible for 6 developers working across the full lifecycle and have the opportunity to remain hands-on and involved with the technology in a 50/50 role. You can expect to guide, mentor and grow your team, encouraging them to be creative and continue their personal development.

Take ownership of the platform's system design, architecture, scalability, performance, security and more. As this position grows, you'll be encouraged to work with cross-functional teams and manage enterprise clients across Europe and the US, directly working with senior executives and stakeholders to take requirements. Alongside being involved with the product team and future features and development.

To be considered for this Software Engineering Manager position, I am looking for:

  • +10 years of Industry Software Experience (SaaS/Product focused)
  • Examples of technical ownership: Architecture, Full Lifecycle Development and Deployment
  • +3 years of experience in management and people leadership
  • Excellent hands-on experience in: Python, Django, React, Typescript, Postgres for both front and backend development
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, tools and AWS environments
  • Passion for growing teams and progressing your team's careers
  • Examples of a supportive and positive work environment and culture
  • AI Inquisitive
