We are currently support a globally recognisable brand in securing an ambitious BI Developer. You'll design, develop and maintain engaging Power BI dashboards, semantic models and reporting solutions that support Finance & Controlling. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs and reporting logic, build scalable data models using DAX, SQL and modern Azure technologies, and support the migration of legacy Cognos reports into Power BI. You'll also promote reporting best practice, ensure robust data quality and governance, provide end-user training, and mentor a Data Apprentice while contributing to the wider Business Intelligence capability.

Ensuring Your Success

To succeed in this role, you'll bring proven experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models, supported by advanced DAX and strong SQL skills. You'll have a solid understanding of data modelling, reporting governance, data quality, testing and performance optimisation, alongside experience working with technologies such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake or similar modern data platforms. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with finance or management information reporting are highly desirable, while previous exposure to Cognos would be beneficial. You'll be a confident communicator who can translate business requirements into intuitive reporting solutions, build strong stakeholder relationships, challenge assumptions where needed, and thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment focused on continuous improvement.
