As a Senior Site Project Engineer, you will integrate a project team and contribute to an ambitious decarbonation master project on an industrial site in the east London region. Within the Energy team, based mostly in Paris (France), you will be assisted by senior experts in the related technical fields and site specifications as R3 have several years of experience with equivalent French sites.

Involvement in all stages of a work package (in collaboration with R3 technical teams, the project management team where applicable, and the client):

  • Project scoping, on-site surveys, and design studies.
  • Preparation of tender documentation, competitive tendering, and contractor selection.
  • Commissioning.
  • Represent R3 in front of the client, client partners or R3 sub-contractors.
  • Support project delivery by coordinating all workstreams.
  • Help ensure delivery to plan: schedule, budget and resourcing.
  • Collect, clean and structure data from different sources.
  • Create clear analyses and visualisations (markets/industries, clients, competitors) to support project work and client deliverables.
  • Project reporting.
  • Help manage your workload so project time remains billable and efficient.
  • Report accurate and relevant information to the project manager (based in France).
  • Take part in lessons learned at the end of projects.
  • Coach junior staff on projects (technical topics and client communication).

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (generalist or specialised in energy, building services, or industrial engineering) and a strong interest in sustainability.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an energy consultancy or engineering consultancy.
  • Solid expertise in energy topics (industrial and/or commercial energy efficiency).
  • Strong interest in environmental challenges, with the willingness to develop and share knowledge of sustainable energy solutions.
  • Technical expertise across key building services systems: Lighting, HVAC, Metering, BMS, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  • Good understanding of energy, social, and environmental challenges.
  • English: bilingual level (fluent) required to lead project delivery in the UK (written and spoken). French: professional working proficiency is a plus (to integrate into a primarily French-speaking team).
  • Mobility: 3 to 5 days onsite in East London + monthly trip to Paris (as part of Energy team integration).
