R3 Repairs is a busy and growing property repairs and maintenance company, we’ve been working in Edinburgh, Lothian and the Borders for almost 15 years, and are wholly owned by East Lothian Housing Association. We carry out work in social housing, private homes and for other businesses – that means there’s lots of variety and the potential for every day to be different. We carry out repairs to empty homes as well as day-to-day repairs to tenanted/occupied properties. We fit new kitchens and bathrooms, windows and doors. Customer service is key to us, so we make sure our customers receive a full service, including responding to emergencies out of hours.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a time-served, qualified Plasterer, whose duties will include reactive, cyclical, day to day and planned work for the organisation and our clients.

Qualifications

Successful applicants should possess a City & Guilds/NVQ/QCF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), together with at least two years’ post‑qualification experience. Although not essential, the ability to roughcast would be advantageous. Applicants must have a full driving licence. A van and power tools will be provided. If you enjoy working with people and believe excellent customer service should be the norm, you may be the ideal person for us.

Pay and Benefits

We’ll pay you between £17.10 – £21.10 per hour – depending on your experience, that’s on‑target earnings of between £34,679 and £42,791 a year. We will also make contributions to a company pension scheme and give you free health cover with Simply Health. Benefits that include up to 32 days paid holiday per year depending on your length of service and a generous employer pension contribution. R3 will fully fund your Basic Disclosure check.
