Area Sales Manager Midlands & South
£55,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance + Expenses + Yearly Bonus
This is an opportunity for a skilled and driven Area Sales Manager to join our client s field-based sales team. This is a key role within the business and offers the chance to make a real difference.
The purpose of the role is to promote the business and its products, generate sales through an innovative and customer-centric approach, support business growth, and maximise business profitability.
The Area Sales Manager’s duties:
- Development of sales within a dedicated region, aligned to individual and team KPIs.
- Ownership of entire sales processes, from contacting potential customers to closing deals.
- Build strong client relationships and pipelines, identifying and generating additional sales opportunities.
- Generate leads and identify potential opportunities within your dedicated area.
- Generate sales quotes and follow-up, demonstrating strong finalising skills.
- Work with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are delivered to a high standard including procurement, stock, production and technical teams.
- Maintain a strong understanding of our products, industry and competitors.
- Sales administration and reporting.
- Attendance and contribution to sales, stock and production meetings
- This is a field-based role that will entail home working, regular attendance at head office and site visits as required.
The Area Sales Manager will have:
- An excellent track record in a similar sales role (within the steel, building envelope industry)
- Previous experience and responsibility for generating sales within a dedicated area
- A proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets
- The ability to achieve objectives on own initiative, as well as part of a team
- The ability to develop strong product knowledge
- Be able to form good working relationships with customers, developers and architects
