Job Description
We have an immediate and exciting vacancy for an experienced picture framer to join our team. This is a full-time position which would suit a candidate with previous framing experience who is competent, working independently within a small team. This is a customer facing role.
Location: Wokingham, Berkshire – A busy framing centre within a craft village of 23 units. Includes a Cafeteria
Full-Time preferred, part time would be considered
10am – 5pm: Monday – Friday. Sunday in lieu of Monday would be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Propose solutions and take framing orders using company software
- Order materials
- Measure, cut, and assemble frames
- Cutting foam board and other materials
- Mount artwork using various techniques – Hinge / float-mounting
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Service customers with artwork from the sales area
Machinery and tools you will use include:
- Circular saw-cutting machine
- Alfa Underpinner and Hoffman router
- Flexipoint driver
- Table saw
- HGP 360 Hot Vacuum Press
- Dust blower and dust extractor
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 year previous experience as a picture framer
- Good quality work and an eye for fine detail is essential
- Ability to work independently to tight deadlines and across multiple projects simultaneously
- Full UK driving license and car owner
- Proficient in MS Office software, especially Excel. Photoshop and Canva also beneficial
