As a leader in high-end construction, heritage conservation and specialist crafts in London and the South of England, we take pride in working on Britain's finest private residences, luxury hotels and most cherished historic architecture. We believe our people are our greatest asset, as it's their dedication to excellence that has been the foundation for our outstanding reputation.
We are looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of high-value, complex construction projects, leading multidisciplinary teams with confidence, foresight, and a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes. You will apply your expertise to anticipate challenges, drive solutions, and craft projects that combine outstanding quality, commercial rigour, and operational excellence from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll lead and coordinate all project activities from pre-construction through to completion and post completion, ensuring delivery against programme, KPI’s and contractual obligations.
- You’ll develop, manage and continually review project strategy, programming and execution plans to drive efficiency and performance on complex projects.
- You’ll provide strong leadership to the project team, setting culture, standards and direction while managing internal teams, consultants and the supply chain.
- You’ll oversee commercial performance in collaboration with the commercial team, managing risk, change, procurement and contractual compliance.
- You’ll manage design coordination, documentation, logistics and reporting to ensure the project is structured, compliant and professionally delivered.
- You’ll create the strategy, set the tone and build the culture on your projects, driving momentum while ensuring commercial, contractual, quality, SHE and programme goals are not just met, but exceeded.
Where you’ll be based:
You’ll be part of our Central Region where high-end country projects from £500k to £100m are delivered by teams aligned to the scale and complexity of each build. Our portfolio for the region spans listed buildings, major refurbishments, contemporary new builds, sporting estates, boutique hotels, and substantial private residences. You’ll be based at Grosvenor House in Basing View - a modern, spacious office with an onsite gym, roof terrace, and café. Whether you drive, cycle, or take the train, the location is well connected with free parking, secure bike storage, and just a five-minute walk from Basingstoke station. You’ll split your time between the office and visiting multiple project sites.
Some of the rewards of working with us:
- Grow your skills and your career with access to full training and development programmes designed to help you reach your full potential.
- Be part of an inclusive workplace where everyone is respected, valued, and encouraged to share ideas and make a real impact.
- Enjoy a comprehensive rewards package including a competitive salary, company pension, sick pay, life cover, enhanced maternity/paternity pay, and long service recognition.
- Earn more time off with a holiday allowance that increases with your length of service - plus all bank holidays.
- Save on everyday essentials with exclusive discounts at leading retailers and supermarkets.
- Get 24/7 support through our Employee Assistance Programme, offering expert advice, counselling, and practical help whenever you need it.
- Enjoy a restful holiday break - we close during the Christmas period, giving you the chance to relax over the festive season.
- We prioritise your wellbeing with our healthcare programmes, annual flu vaccines, and for those who will benefit, a personalised menopause plan.
The areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- You’ll demonstrate extensive construction management experience on high value, complex projects, typically between £500,000 and £2 million in scale.
- You’ll understand JCT contracts inside out, with the commercial awareness to manage change, navigate claims and mitigate risk with confidence and professionalism.
- You’ll show advanced planning and programming capability, including critical path analysis and detailed project scheduling.
- You’ll bring proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultants, subcontractors and integrated project teams.
- You’ll apply strong commercial awareness, change control and strategic risk and opportunity management across the project lifecycle.
- You’ll hold a relevant construction qualification with solid knowledge of contemporary and traditional construction methods.
