R3 Labs is a newly formed R3 unit with a collaboration with Solana. Our goal is to be the on-ramp for the next $1Tn of assets on-chain and we are focused on enabling financial institutions and asset originators to issue, manage and put to work real-world assets (RWA) on-chain. We combine the security, compliance, and enterprise know-how of R3 with the speed and composability of next-gen blockchain networks. Were building the solutions for diverse on-chain assets, from funds and securities to carbon credits and real estate – with composability and interoperability at the core.
The Role:
Were looking for a Solution Architect with strong Web3 exposure to lead technical solution design and delivery for our clients and partners. Youll serve as a bridge between product, engineering, and enterprise clients, helping define and implement RWA tokenization strategies on Solana and adjacent ecosystems. While youll work within a Solana-first environment, most of your contributions will be in architectural design, APIs, smart contract integrations, data pipelines, and compliance flows rather than low-level Rust development (though familiarity is a plus).
What you\’ll do:
- Design tokenization architectures for RWAs on Solana as well as custody, compliance, and lifecycle flows
- Interface with enterprise clients and partners to understand technical requirements
- Develop integration blueprints across APIs, smart contracts (Solana + SPL), oracles, and custodians
- Collaborate with protocol developers, external front-end and back-end teams to deliver E2E solutions
- Contribute to reference architectures and internal best practices for compliant asset issuance
- Stay up to date on Solana improvement proposals, DeFi infrastructure, and regulatory developments
You might be a fit if you have:
- 8+ years in a technical architecture or solution engineering role
- Hands-on experience with Web3 tools: wallets, APIs, smart contracts (ideally Solana)
- Solid understanding of asset tokenization (e.g. securities, funds, carbon, real estate)
- Familiarity with Solana architecture (SPL tokens, PDAs, anchor framework, etc.)
- Prior exposure to regulated financial institutions or capital markets infrastructure
- Bonus: Experience with enterprise integrations, custody APIs, or compliance toolkits
- Nice to have: Rust reading fluency (writing not required), experience on Ethereum or Cosmos
Why join R3 Labs?
- Work at the intersection of Web3 innovation and institutional-grade infrastructure
- Influence how the next generation of tokenized assets is built and traded
