Position Summary: The Accounting and Reporting Director oversees the accounting and financial reporting operations within the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and management practices.
Location: London - UK - Fenchurch
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, board members, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in line with financial regulations and corporate guidelines.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure a successful audit process. Address any issues or discrepancies identified in audit findings.
- Assist in the preparation of the organization’s budget and financial forecasts. Analyze variances and trends to guide management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at the management level, providing recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
Work Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 12 to 15 years of related experience.
- 5+ years of management experience.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
