Registered Veterinary Nurse

South Manchester | Full-time | £35,000-£40,000 FTE DOE

We’re an independent veterinary practice in South Manchester, operating across two branches just 3.5 miles apart, and we’re looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

You’ll have your own nurse clinics every day alongside a varied clinical role, with the opportunity to develop your skills and interests as your career progresses.

The role:

This is a full-time position with a salary of up to £40,000 FTE, depending on experience.

You’ll be an important part of our clinical team, working alongside our vets and fellow nurses across our two closely located branches.

A key part of the role is running your own daily nurse clinics, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships with clients and has the confidence to manage their own consultations.

Weekends are optional:

For those who would like to work Saturdays, we offer an optional 3-hour Saturday morning shift, where you’ll run your own nurse consultations while also providing support to the vet (paid as additional overtime or taken as paid time off in lieu).

We’re looking for an RVN who:

• Ideally has at least 2 years’ experience (although we’re happy to consider less experience for the right candidate).
• Is confident running their own nurse consultations and building relationships with our loyal clients and their pets.
• Enjoys working as part of a team.
• Is keen to learn and continue developing professionally.
• Takes pride in delivering excellent patient and client care.

• Salary up to £40,000 FTE DOE
• 33 days’ annual leave (25 days plus 8 bank holidays).
• Additional long-service holiday:An extra day of annual leave for every 2 years you work with us.

• CPD allowance: 3 paid CPD days plus a £1,000 CPD allowance per year.
• Six-monthly reviews:Regular opportunities to discuss your development, performance and remuneration rather than waiting for one annual review.

We’re keen to support nurses who want to develop their skills, take on additional responsibility and progress within the practice. We’re also happy to support further qualifications and certificates in areas that interest you and complement the practice.

Optional weekend work:

No compulsory weekend rota, with the option of a 3-hour Saturday morning shift.
