Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Distribution Channel Sales Manager to lead and develop the company’s distribution network across the UK & Ireland. This is a key strategic role responsible for strengthening partnerships, optimising channel performance, and driving sustainable growth through B2B distributor relationships.

You will work closely with key distributors, managing the full commercial relationship, including pricing, rebate structures, stock management, and joint business planning.

Location: United Kingdom (Home-based with national travel)

Reports to: Managing Director UK&I

Industry: Electrical, Lighting & Automation Products for Hazardous Locations

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and develop the company’s existing distribution network across the UK & Ireland, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Strengthen commercial partnerships by building trust, increasing engagement, and fostering long-term collaboration.
  • Manage day-to-day business activity with distributors, including sales planning, order management, and after-sales support.
  • Define and implement pricing strategies and rebate schemes tailored to market conditions and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor and review stock levels held by distributors to ensure availability and reduce supply chain inefficiencies.
  • Understand local market requirements and provide tailored solutions that encourage distributors to prioritise and promote the company’s product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including product management, marketing, and customer service to deliver a seamless channel experience.
  • Provide regular reporting on channel performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence.

Candidate Profile

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar channel sales or distribution management role, ideally within the electrical, automation, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of pricing models, rebates, and channel profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and grow complex B2B distributor relationships.
  • Experience with products used in hazardous or industrial environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland as required.

Qualifications:

  • +10yrs experience on sales through channels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
