We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media lead to join us on a 9-month FTC and cover maternity leave. The purpose of this role is to manage the social media communities within the UK and Ireland markets, driving engagement, traffic, and sales. Working with the wider marketing team and channel owners to activate our key marketing initiatives and managing the full end to end process from brief to execution.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop and execute a social media plan to drive awareness and engagement to RS UK&IE.
- Deliver a content strategy that is best in class, targeted and relevant to our audiences.
- Develop and activate a paid media plan that aligns to our agreed KPIs and budgets.
- Work with key stakeholders to agree and set KPIs and SLAs to ensure we are effectively measuring our activity and deliver to deadlines.
- Measure and report on performance of our social media platforms and paid activity, with the aim of meeting our agreed KPIs and making recommendations for improvements.
- Manage relationships with relevant agencies and group functions.
- Be the expert and voice for the market in social media, always driving the UK&IE agenda.
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a Social Media related role in a marketing or Digital environment.
- Experience using social media tools to monitor and report on channel performance.
- Experience of both organic and paid campaign set up and management.
- Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective approaches to engage that audience.
- Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution.
- Ability to use knowledge and experience of external best practice to shape marketing assets and delivery.
- Ability to work collaboratively with peers and across teams and cultures to ensure effective delivery of the strategy.
- Excellent communication and networking skills with an ability to work in a global team environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to identify new opportunities to help meet the overall objectives and work closely with technical teams to understand opportunities and constraints of digital disciplines.
- Budgeting responsibility for projects and campaigns to ensure all costs and ROI are managed.
- Good organisational and time management skills with ability to operate on a wide range of activities and projects at one time.
