A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer, who will play a key role within our Technical Services Department. Ideally suited to a recent graduate with some experience of working in an Oil & Gas or a similar environment. The role is a developing one and would be appropriate for someone wishing to progress their career as an Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical support to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably throughout its full lifecycle.
Working collaboratively as part of the team, the Mechanical Engineer will support the Inspection Services contract, Asset Integrity Management activities, and the use of Predictive Maintenance Software. The Mechanical Engineer will also ensure that all equipment meets regulatory requirements and internal inspection standards, assist in managing the Terminals integrity processes and database, and support the inspection service contract by ensuring that recommendations are properly reviewed and implemented.
Work Environment: 40% Field and 60% Office
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:
- Qualified in Mechanical Engineering to degree level
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and ability to apply in practice including for pressure vessels, piping, tankage and an understanding of tools used to support design and fitness for service assessment
- Basic Level of materials engineering knowledge/experience
- Working technical understanding of risk-based inspection principles, equipment damage mechanisms and the types and techniques of inspection
- Some working industry experience utilising mechanical equipment (not limited to Oil & Gas)
