We are looking for experienced Shunter / Forklift Truck Driver to operate from our base at Dunnington, just East of York.

Job role

Reporting to the Production Manager / Despatch Supervisor, you will be required to:

  • Manage the safe movement of trailers from the intake and despatch yards.
  • Using Counterbalance Forklift Trucks to work outside and inside loading / unloading trailers.

Job requirements

  • Good level of communication skills, with the ability to understand and share verbal instruction in English.
  • Shunter or C+E licence.
  • Forklift truck experience is essential.
  • Computer literate advantageous.
  • Possess good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Show full co-operation and awareness of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Have a positive and enthusiastic can do attitude.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Access to own transport due to location.

Pay and benefits

We can offer: Various Shift Patterns, start 06:00am, Minimum 40 hours. Good, clean restroom and facilities, with vending machines. Full PPE will be provided. No agencies.
