R.P. Marzilli has been installing and maintaining New England’s finest residential landscapes since 1985. We are seeking landscape professionals who have a passion for Plant Health Care to join our team and deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform applications within our proprietary program that address fertility, weed management, and insect management of turf on client’s properties.
  • Identify and diagnose insect, disease, and cultural issues on turf of client’s properties.
  • Adhere to best Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
  • Communicate turf needs on specific properties to Division Manager and/or Account Managers.
  • Routine care and regular calibration of spray truck equipment to ensure accurate applications.
  • Be adept at following EPA labels and correctly mixing spray tanks for necessary applications each day.
  • Enter in detailed notes regarding each application including record of material usage into handheld device.
  • Assist with Plant Health Care applications and/or Tick/Mosquito Control as necessary.
  • Follow a route to efficiently visit multiple properties each day and effectively complete tasks at each property.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
  • Must possess current MA and RI Pesticide License or ability to obtain them prior to employment.
  • Field experience with comparable position is preferred.
  • Degree relevant to the field (turf management, plant pathology, soil science, etc) is preferred.
  • Willingness to work in all types of weather (heat, rain, cold).
  • Willingness to work some Saturdays as workload and weather during busiest times of year may dictate.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to stay motivated and work efficiently, often as a one-person crew.
  • A strong passion for and dedication to enhancing the quality of the turf, plants, and shrubs on the properties we take care of.
