Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth handling of materials, stock management, and order fulfilment within our warehouse environment. Shift - Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00 Hourly rate - £12.71 Duties Handling materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading goods from lorries and containers Operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery in accordance with health and safety regulations Managing stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch with accuracy and attention to detail Stocking shelves and organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation Conducting quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards Assisting with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and labelling Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times Supporting mechanical tasks where necessary, utilising basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance or troubleshooting Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety procedures Valid forklift licence is desirable but not essential; training can be arranged for candidates willing to obtain certification Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or similar inventory software is beneficial Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in picking, packing, and quality control tasks Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team This role provides an excellent platform for individuals looking to build a career in logistics or warehouse management within a professional environment.
