R & L Holt are looking for Seasonal workers for harvesting or trimming the crop (tomatoes) for the main growing season April until the end of November although work may be available all year round. No specific skills are needed and training will be provided during the induction process. There are three sites; Sandylands Nurseries, Hornsfield Nurseries and Springhill Nurseries and work will be carried out inside glasshouses.
Be able to work independently and as a team, including starting and finishing on time with others, be hard-working and motivated, have good manual dexterity and some heavy lifting may be required. Deleafing, general glasshouse tidiness and cleaning will be expected for example sweeping and keeping the trolley tidy. The applicant must abide by the Company’s Hygiene and Footwear policy. Also to be able to differentiate between colours according to the colour charts. There is no Packhouse so there is no packaging required.
All workers will be paid at least the minimum wage. Full time work, 40hrs a week is expected (5 days Monday – Friday and half day Saturday), but 32 hours is guaranteed to be paid. Usual working hours can be from 6.30am in the Summer months.
