To be a key member of the home removal team reporting to the Branch Manager.
To lead the team ensuring the home removal job is completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
The HGV Removals Driver will pack customer items liaise with the customer.
Facilitate the safe loading of goods to and from the vehicle.
In some circumstances this may be unsupervised therefore they must use their initiative to foresee any potential problems and solve them as they arise.
Work will involve travel throughout UK for which subsistence allowance is provided.
- *Main Responsibilities*
- Extensive travel away from base throughout UK
- Act as customer facing representative of the company
- Lead the removal team on site
- Safely drive and be responsible for the HGV vehicle
- Vehicle defect checking and reporting
- Comply with tachograph and WTD legislation
- Lift and manoeuvre furniture and effects safely
- To protect furniture as required with packing materials *To pack personal effects into suitable cartons with protection*
- Write inventories of goods moved / shipped
- Complete paperwork for jobs correctly
- To act and behave in accordance with Health and Safety Requirements
- Be able to work aware from home within the UK
- To drive company transit van or car, as required
- -Ensure you have your own tool kit to assemble furniture

- HGV Driving Licence
