The Challenge…

As the shift supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Supervise a team of HGV Technicians, ensuring top-quality work and productivity.
• Organise workloads, schedule jobs, and keep operations running smoothly.
• Maximise shift performance through problem-solving, coaching, and team development.
• Perform hands-on diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
• Ensure compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety standards, and VOSA regulations.
• Mentor and support team members to enhance skills and performance.
• Provide progress updates to management and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Conduct routine maintenance, safety checks, and prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Sign off on My Check documents and carry out quality control on repairs.
• Maintain workshop housekeeping and ensure adherence to H&S standards.
• Attend required training courses to stay up-to-date.

The Day to Day…

• Mon – Fri 15:00 – 24:00
• Tues – Sat 06:00 – 15:00

What we’re looking for…

• Qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an HGV workshop.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on HGVs and LCVs.
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

You’ll really hit the ground running if you have…

• A full HGV Licence (not essential).
• Experience with Renault Trucks and Isuzu Trucks products.
• Experience in a Renault Trucks and Isuzu Trucks dealership.
