RH Commercial Vehicles is pleased to offer a structured and rewarding Parts Advisor Apprenticeship to individuals seeking to establish a career within the commercial vehicle industry. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience while working towards an industry-recognised qualification.
As an Apprentice Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of our Parts Department, learning about both our customers and internal teams while receiving comprehensive training on all aspects of commercial vehicle parts operations.

What you will learn:
- A comprehensive understanding of commercial vehicle components and their functions.
- Knowledge of manufacturer parts catalogues and electronic inventory management systems.
- Skills in effective stock control, ordering and supplier coordination.
- Customer service and communication techniques tailored to the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors.
The Challenge:
- Assist customers and colleagues with parts enquiries, providing accurate and helpful information.
- Use manufacturer catalogues and internal systems to identify and supply the correct vehicle parts.
- Process parts orders and keep accurate records.
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to source and distribute parts efficiently.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks and manage incoming deliveries.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Stay informed of product updates, industry developments and technological advancements.
What we’re looking for:
- A strong interest in commercial vehicles and the automotive sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and motivated attitude, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to learning and professional development.
- Previous experience is not required, but a basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and components and a full driver’s licence would be advantageous.
Entry Requirements:
No formal qualifications are required, but candidates must be willing to work towards achieving Level 2 English and Maths before the end of the apprenticeship.
How you will be assessed:
- Knowledge and behaviours test: Assessing understanding through structured and scenario-based questions.
- Branch Assessment: A 60-minute test featuring short answer and scenario-based questions.
