We are looking for enthusiastic reliable people with good work ethic and a good intention to detail to pick strawberries. This is a seasonal job from mid‑April to October, potentially lasting 6 months. The role involves picking strawberries according to specific guidelines. Other tasks may include planting, weeding, leaf management and packing strawberries.
Flexible start and finish due to the perishable crop and when it needs to be picked. Induction and training will be given at the start of employment. The hours are 8 hours a day with breaks which total 1 hour per day, with 5 or 6 days of work depending on workload. The salary is a minimum of £12.21 per hour based on piece incentives and targets achieved. There may be days with no work, but notification will be given. A zero‑rated contract will be given as no guarantee of hours. The work will be done under glass in glasshouses.
