We are looking for an Apprentice Construction Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The successful applicant will begin studies with a Construction Quantity Surveyor Technician Level 4, at college one day a week. On completion, you will move onto study Construction Quantity Surveyor degree apprenticeship.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost control, procurement, taking off, contract awareness, pricing and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Please note, travel is required throughout the East Anglia region. This exciting role will give you the opportunity to learn and earn as we support you in developing your knowledge in Quantity Surveying. - Conduct cost estimates and prepare budgets for construction projects
- Analyse project plans and specifications to determine quantities of materials needed
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make recommendations for cost savings
- Prepare and submit progress reports, payment applications, and final accounts
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide guidance on contractual matters to project teams
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify any potential issues
- Evidence of Level 2 qualifications in 4 subjects including Maths and English e.g. GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, Functional Skills, or ESFA-approved equivalents
- Level 4 course starts in September, Course Length is 2 Years and up to 6 months College 1 day per week
- Must have the right to work in the UK and meet the Education and Skill Funding residency status
