R G Bassett & Sons Ltd is a long-established family transport Business, providing quality-assured road transport services throughout the UK. We are looking for a HGV Mechanic to join our Workshop team. HGV Mechanic Role Description Working as an integral part of our Workshop team, this position will involve: Vehicle and Trailer MOT preparation. Use of fleet diagnostic equipment. Site maintenance duties. The role works on a rotational shift pattern, as follows: Week 1: Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00hrs, Week 2: Monday to Friday 13-00-21.00hrs and Saturday morning, 08.00-12.00hrs. Weekly pay is based on skills and experience. The minimum hourly rate is £16.00 (£34K) + shift overtime, where required at a minimum of £20 per hour. Previous HGV Vehicle Maintenance experience. A Flexible Approach. A Full UK Driving Licence. A LGV Licence and IRTEC licence would be beneficial, but not essential. Funded training for LGV licence acquisition will be offered to non-LGV licence holders, after an initial period of employment. Permanent, Full-time Company pension Ability to commute/relocate: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) HGV Maintenance: 2 years (preferred) HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) (preferred)
