*R G Bassett & Sons Ltd* is a long-established family transport Business, providing quality-assured road transport services throughout the UK. We are looking for a HGV Mechanic to join our Workshop team.
*HGV Mechanic Role Description*
Working as an integral part of our Workshop team, this position will involve:
- Vehicle and trailer servicing
- Vehicle and trailer repairs
- Vehicle and Trailer MOT preparation.
- The completion of roadside repairs.
- Use of fleet diagnostic equipment.
- Site maintenance duties.
The role works on a rotational shift pattern, as follows:
- Week 1: Monday to Friday 06.00-14.00hrs,
- Week 2: Monday to Friday 13-00-21.00hrs and Saturday morning, 08.00-12.00hrs.
Weekly pay is based on skills and experience. The minimum hourly rate is £16.00 (£34K) + shift overtime, where required at a minimum of £20 per hour.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following skills:
- Previous HGV Vehicle Maintenance experience.
- A Flexible Approach.
- A Full UK Driving Licence.
- A LGV Licence and IRTEC licence would be beneficial, but not essential. Funded training for LGV licence acquisition will be offered to non-LGV licence holders, after an initial period of employment.
