Republic Europe is on the lookout for a Finance Manager!
Based in London (WFH up to 2 days per week)
For an established, but very dynamic investments fintech with a start-up mentality and lots of company projects on the go.
Therefore, it is important that you are a problem solver who is comfortable taking active ownership of the tasks assigned to you and coming up with or proposing solutions for dealing with any challenges encountered.
You will report to the CFO.
This is a vacancy that we are looking to fill as soon as possible to replace a departing member of our finance team.
Early applications are encouraged as we are looking to hire as soon as possible to give the new hire as much time for onboarding and hand-over activities as possible. (Please indicate whether you are currently available, or what your notice period is).
What You\’ll Do

  • Involvement in day-to-day finance processes across the group including revenue recognition, receivables, payments, reconciliations, intra-group transactions and cash flow management
  • Internal and external financial reporting: contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual accounts, tax returns and potentially regulatory reporting (such as CMAR)
  • Support our financial operations team by processing investor transactions as needed
  • Financial Forecasting and Planning: Supporting the maintenance of financial forecasts for the business and working closely with department heads on budgeting and spend management
  • International operations & subsidiaries: Maintaining accurate accounting records for all UK & EU entities working closely with external accountants were necessary.
  • Financial Analysis: Supporting analysis including business-wide cost base reviews and project variance analysis that drive decision making
  • Proactively helping optimize and improve our financial processes

Who we’re looking for

  • Hands-on problem solver
  • Proven operational accounting and financial management experience from previous roles, preferably demonstrating leadership of small teams
  • Have, or studying towards a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CFA
  • Problem solver – identify issues & propose solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proactivity, pragmatism and great communication skills: you’re a self-starter who is able to communicate financial concepts simply and clearly to non-financial audiences
  • Relationship building and a collaborative approach: you have the ability to build relationships with a range of different people, building trust easily and re-enforcing finance as an enabler of strategic decision making across different teams
  • Team player – we have a small finance team with a wide range of responsibilities, so we expect team members to actively support each other as needed and to cover staff in other teams when they are taking leaving for example

Must have (mandatory)

  • At least 5 years’ relevant finance experience

Nice to have (not mandatory)

  • Fintech experience
  • Experience in rapidly growing PE backed businesses
  • CASS oversight experience
  • Team management experience
