About The Role & Team
To own and deliver the end‑to‑end testing workstream in the transformation from legacy systems to a new Oracle Fusion ERP platform. This role requires extensive experience in strategy development, management of a small, dedicated team, stakeholder engagement, and hands‑on expertise. Ensuring deliverables accurately represent the designs and business requirements. Working alongside the Systems Integrator (SI) across functional, SIT and UAT testing responsibility to guide, co‑ordinate and assist the testing process which is key to this programme of work. This is a lead role although a hands‑on approach will be required. This role will be a temporary contract running for 9–12 months starting in January 2026 and will be based at our head office in Uxbridge.
Key Responsibilities
- Define test strategies and comprehensive test plans, covering scope, functional, SIT and UAT and resources needed.
- Identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and ensure testing aligns with release criteria.
- Oversee execution of agreed test cases and scripts (manual & automated) and analyse results.
- Log and track defects in JIRA, collaborate with SI developers to resolve issues, and ensure regressions are verified.
- Develop or enhance test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium), select, maintain, and optimise test tools and environments.
- Ensure the SI is delivering to quality criteria set out in agreed designs and report issues likely to cause plan and/or solution deviation.
- Identify, log in JIRA, mitigate risks and issues throughout the testing lifecycle, acting as the primary escalation point for migration‑related problems.
- Facilitate required meetings and workshops to gather testing requirements, present progress updates to the Programme lead, and manage relationships with cross‑functional teams and third‑party such as the SI as necessary.
- Provide regular updates on test progress, defect metrics, and release quality to stakeholders.
- Assist a cross section of subject matter experts and key business process owners, ensuring effective time utilisation in creating the testing artefacts, ensuring project progress to plan.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proficiency with test management (e.g., JIRA) bug tracking, and automation tools (e.g., Selenium).
- Hands‑on testing experience, including performance and API testing (SOAP/REST).
- Strong analytical and complex problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels (technical and managerial).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a close‑knit environment.
- Experience in managing project timelines and delivering agreed‑upon milestones.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional certifications.
