Collard Group is looking for a motivated Metal Recycling Weighbridge Operator (Apprentice) to join our busy metal recycling operation and develop a career in recycling.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing the practical and administrative skills needed to support a growing metal recycling facility.

Responsibilities

• Weighing in vehicles and record material movements accurately.
• Achieve a Level 2 Metal Recycling General Operative with Weighbridge specialism.
• Benefit from ongoing training, support, and career development opportunities.
• Receive pay increases linked to your skills, experience, and responsibilities.
• Be offered the opportunity to undertake a WAMITAB qualification to further develop your waste and recycling knowledge.
• Grading incoming and outgoing metal materials.
• Producing tickets, weighbridge documentation, and transaction records.
• Carrying out compliance checks and ensure records are completed correctly.
• Building knowledge of metal grades, recycling processes, and authorised materials.
• Communicating confidently with customers, drivers, and site colleagues.
• Supporting the smooth operation of the recycling facility through accurate data entry and administration.
