This role will involve carrying out general DIY maintenance and repair tasks across various sites and customer premises to ensure all properties remain in good and safe condition.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance across all commercial sites and residential properties
- Undertake hard landscaping such as repairing damaged driveways, paths, kerbs, paving, turf/grass, fixing broken gates, fencing and fence posts or erecting new fences
- Undertake small plumbing repairs such as fixing leaking taps, toilets and urinals, unblocking toilets, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets etc
- Undertake basic roof repairs, fixing leaking guttering, clearing blocked guttering
- Undertake masonry work on external walls, repairing garden walls and laying paving slabs
- Undertake basic carpentry such as hanging new doors, fitting skirting boards, replacing locks etc
- Undertake soft landscaping – cutting grass, trimming hedges, bushes and trees
- General property upkeep such as painting, decorating, clearing debris
- Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety
- Ability to carry out minor electrical tasks such as replacing bulbs / rewiring sockets, installing alarms, doorbells etc is preferred but not essential
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance or multi trade role (essential)
- Basic IT literacy for job tracking and communication
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- To hold a current CSCS Card (not essential as training can be provided)
- Experience working in a similar commercial environment preferred but not essential
- Problem solving/troubleshooting
- Organised
- Ability to manage workload independently
- Professional, courteous manner when dealing with customers and tenants
