The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Overall responsibility for depot sales performance and key account management for the supply of waste management services. Support other Collard Group sales and business development and contribute to the area sales and commercial strategies where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing innovative methods to acquire new customers and identify new leads.
- Strategic management of all key accounts in the area and any accounts allocated which cover all operational areas.
- Developing winning contract proposals which address customer needs and promote the benefits of our exceptional service and recycling rates.
- Confidently presenting the company in a professional business-like manner face to face, over the telephone or via e-mail.
- Understanding the various waste streams acceptable into our sites and ensuring that sales negotiated meet average selling price and profit expectations.
- Managing the opening of new accounts and ensuring that all customer credit limits are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining and developing an up-to-date sales pipeline and sales reports with feedback on current market activity and pricing.
- Liaising effectively with other members of the team including customer service, distribution, transport, and operations to ensure all possible leads are shared and that service standards are maintained.
- To support the GM and contribute to identifying tenders, bidding and submission of these tenders.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a sales role ideally this should be within the waste management sector.
- Self-motivation with a proactive approach to drive sales and profit growth.
- Understanding of waste permits and waste acceptance criteria (desirable).
- An excellent team player with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding commercial environment.
- Ability to understand and work to budgets.
- Ability to understand sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to be an effective communicator at all levels with strong presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively utilise a range of software including the MS Office suite.
- Sales or negotiation training (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence.
