We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Heating Surveyor to join our expanding business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of our heating and renewables division, working across a wide range of projects involving traditional heating systems, modern technologies and renewable energy solutions.
The Role
As a Heating Surveyor, you will be responsible for carrying out site surveys, assessing customer requirements and developing suitable technical solutions across all aspects of plumbing and heating.
Working closely with our office team, engineers and customers, you will help ensure that projects are accurately surveyed, correctly specified and ready for installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed site surveys for plumbing and heating installations.
- Assess existing heating systems and recommend appropriate upgrades and improvements directly to our customers.
- Survey and specify installations involving boilers, radiators, hot water systems and associated plumbing works.
- Support the design and specification of renewable heating solutions, including heat pumps.
- Prepare accurate survey reports, job specifications and installation requirements.
- Identify potential challenges on site and provide practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Liaise with customers, engineers, suppliers and the wider office team.
- Help maintain high standards of workmanship, customer service and technical compliance.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous technical experience in plumbing and heating – this is essential and evidence required prior to meeting with candidates.
- A strong understanding of domestic heating systems, plumbing installations and associated components.
- The ability to assess installations, identify requirements and solve technical problems.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer interactions.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple surveys.
- A willingness to develop their knowledge of renewable technologies and emerging heating solutions.
- Experience with heat pumps, renewable energy systems, heating design or previous surveying work would be a significant advantage.
