QVIS Lighting and Security is an independently owned business based in Hilsea, Portsmouth, and is an industry leading provider of security and lighting products, sold through the electrical wholesale channel. QVIS is a well-established company with over 20 years’ experience with solid routes to market.
As the Warehouse Team Leader you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities within both the Dispatch and Goods In Department, as the role is multifunctional.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing all stages of the operational process and workflow, from receiving incoming deliveries to organising and storing goods within the warehouse
- Ensuring safe and timely execution of processes accurately
- Maintaining and ensuring all completed transactions are accurately recorded, and all products are correctly stored and clearly labelled
- Utilising and maintaining warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Enforcing safety and security protocols within the warehouse, to ensure own and safety of others
- Implementing periodic stock checks
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and confident in using Microsoft Word and Excel
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience within a warehouse or team leader role
- Forklift License – Bendi Truck/Counter balance are desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to handle unexpected issues
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring manual handling
