The Role:

We are looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join our Hilsea team to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of warehouse goods. The focus will be stock accuracy and to supervise the warehouse team on a day-to-day basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in management, as well as warehouse experience and an aptitude to solving problems.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring warehouse runs efficiently
  • Investigating stock variances
  • Managing inventory levels
  • Managing the movement of goods across multi-sites and stores
  • Managing all picking activities for supplier and customer fulfilments
  • Supervision of containerised deliveries
  • Liaising with purchasing and sales department on stock availability
  • Preparing for and managing stock audits
  • Ensuring KPIs are hit and maintaining standards
  • Managing the warehouse team and performance, providing coaching and training when necessary
  • Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Documenting and constantly reviewing all processes, policies and systems and updating information
  • Negotiating with Couriers
  • Overseeing Returns process

Key Attributes:

  • Good time management and able to prioritise effectively
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to navigate different software, SAP Knowledge an advantage, but not essential, as full training will be provided)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet targets
  • Able to communicate clearly and confidently with different departments
  • Team player
  • Strong leadership skills
  • 3 years’ experience in management in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift License – Reach/Counterbalance (not essential as full training will be provided)
