Full time 12 hour rotating shift pattern - 08:00 - 20:00 & 20:00 - 08:00 (4-day shift / 4-night shift rotation on a 4 on 4 off shift basis).

Our clients receive the best service and attention to detail, independently verified each year by the highest UK security regulatory bodies. We are looking for qualified individuals to join the team at our monitoring centre in Hilsea, Portsmouth.
The Role:
As an Alarm Receiving Operator, you will be responsible for:
- Answering incoming phone calls to the alarm receiving centre.
- Monitoring customer alarms and CCTV.
- Communicating with customer key contacts regarding their alarms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Alarm handling and CCTV Operating on our bespoke software.
- PC data entry and basic administration duties.
- Edit and handle customer records.
- Follow procedures methodically and uphold excellent standards.
- Deal with customer requests via telephone and email in a professional manner.
- Monitor all systems within the control room efficiently, ensuring compliance with operating procedures, legislation, and codes of practice.
- Liaise with Police, other agencies, and designated employees to coordinate appropriate emergency responses.
- Provide routine system support to all clients, including system testing and administering alarm configurations.
- Participate in departmental administrative duties when needed.
- Report all events and actions taken in a clear, legible, and accurate written format.
- Provide a courteous telephone answering service and deal efficiently with all enquiries.
- Ensure smooth handovers between operators.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Good organisation and efficiency with the ability to multi-task.
- Exceptional concentration, good attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
- Professional with the ability to work under pressure and remain calm, using good judgemental skills.
- SIA CCTV Licence is an advantage, but not essential.
- Full Training will be given - completion of training modules can be achieved within 6 months.
