Full time: Monday – Friday, 09:00– 17:30

About Us: QVIS Lighting and Security is an independently owned business based in Hilsea, Portsmouth, and is an industry leading provider of security and lighting products, sold through the electrical wholesale channel. QVIS is a well-established company with over 20 years’ experience with solid routes to market.

The role: We are currently looking for a Production Planning Administrator to join our friendly team in our Hilsea office, where you will coordinate production planning activities to ensure efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and timely delivery of LED lighting products. This role is central to balancing customer demand with manufacturing capacity while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and monitor production schedules for LED lighting assemblies
  • Ensure raw materials and components (e.g., LED chips, drivers, housings) are available to meet production requirements
  • Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and suppliers to align material flow with production needs
  • Track work orders and monitor progress against production targets, addressing delays or bottlenecks
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems and generate planning and performance reports
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specification
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise production efficiency and reduce waste
  • Act as a communication link between production, logistics and relevant cross-functional teams

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • SAP experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, ideally in electronics or lighting
  • Good understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles
  • Excellent communication and ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
