Salary : Competitive

Hours : Monday – Thursday, 08:30am – 17:30pm and Friday 08:00 – 17:00.

Location : Hilsea Portsmouth

At QVIS Lighting and Security we are looking to recruit a Production Operative to join our busy team. The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and will be responsible for component change overs (emergency, dimming etc) as well as RMA repairs and reworks and to provide technical support after initial training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the assembly of lighting components
• Ensure products are coded correctly for customers
• Ensure products are packed, wrapped, and labelled in strict accordance with requirements
• Assist in the packaging of orders in preparation for delivery to customers and associated paperwork
• Check the quality of the products to ensure they meet our customers specifications
• Assist in LED production and project completion
• Inspect products for defects and damage prior to packing
• Maintain and promote a clean and organised working environment
• Adhere to strict electrical health and safety instructions and processes
• Provide support to warehouse during peak times to include picking, packing, and unloading containers from overseas suppliers

Skills & Experience

• Electrical experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the successful candidate
• Experience in a production environment would be advantageous
• Able to operate basic hand and packaging tools
• Excellent organisation skills
• Able to work within a team and as an individual
• Experience using SAP desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided
