An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen to join the Community Diagnostic Centre team as the Service Manager, until the end of March 2027.
The Service Manager is responsible for working with the various Directorate Management Team’s to support the delivery of clinical activity and development of new pathways in line with national guidance, working closely with NHS England and ICB colleagues, providing a central point of contact alongside the Project and Delivery Implementation Manager.
The post holder will provide effective and efficient day to day management of the service, line managing staff and delivering quality, performance and financial plans, whilst achieving service improvements.
Main duties of the job
Managerial/ People Management
1.1 Line manage secretarial and administrative staff within the Department.
1.2 Ensure robust Individual Performance Review systems, development plans and Knowledge & Skills Framework outlines are in place for all team members.
1.3 Manage administrative and secretarial staff within speciality team in line with HR policies.

Qualifications
- First Degree or able to demonstrate specialist knowledge within this field through practical experience
- Managerial qualification or equivalent level of experience within the NHS
Experience
- Experience of clinical or administrative supervision / management level
- Significant management experience, preferably gained within a hospital or primary care setting
- Rota management and resource allocation
- Sleep services
- Project management
