The Senior Financial Accountant supports QVC UK and plays a critical role in ensuring financial accounting, reporting and control across the UK business. You will lead month end close, statutory and SEC reporting, and improve accounting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency and strong governance in a commercial environment. You will act as a trusted finance partner.
This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at our London office two days a week. Onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company.
What You’ll Do
- You will own and control the monthly financial close process, ensuring you complete all activities and reviews to timetable, in line with control requirements and with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- You’ll prepare, review and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including statutory accounts and SEC reporting, with clear commentary on significant variances.
- You will maintain strong balance sheet governance through analytical review, oversight of reconciliations, and leadership of investigations to resolve outstanding or complex items.
- You will ensure correct accounting treatment for significant contracts, accruals, reserves and adjustments, in compliance with FRS102 and US GAAP.
- You’ll take end-to-end responsibility for the accounting of non-operating entities within the UK Group.
- You will support internal and external audits by providing documentation, demonstrating controls, leading walkthroughs and responding to any queries.
What You’ll Bring
- You will bring a foundation in financial accounting alongside a proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
- You are comfortable working at pace, confident in your judgement, and committed to delivering high quality outcomes while collaborating positively with others.
- You will have a Degree level education with a recognised UK accountancy qualification, ACA or ACCA.
- You will have experience managing month end close processes and financial reporting within a complex environment, plus technical expertise across FRS102 UK GAAP and US GAAP.
