We have a great opportunity for a Product Development Specialist to join our homeware team, supporting QVC UK on a 12 month maternity contract. Reporting to the Product Development Manager, you will work with the team to focus and align product placement with the sourcing factory base to meet the QVC customer demands by offering the highest quality product at the best value possible.

This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite 2 days per week at our Media and Commerce Centre at Chiswick Park, West London.

You will use market trends, buyer input, sales performance and customer metrics to enhance products developed to improve margin and customer experience. You will participate in overseas buying trips and manage follow ups. You will attend trade shows and comp shop with the PD Team. You will lead negotiation of pricing, delivery and approval of product samples, managing the sample development process. You will have constant email communication with our offices, agents, and direct suppliers, building relationships with our sourcing partners to ensure implementation of QVC procedures.

You will bring creativity and knowledge to new product development, with product expertise to negotiate the best prices. You will work to a critical path and ensure this stays on track. You should have product development experience across multiple home classifications and an understanding of relevant design systems such as PLM. You will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally.
