Overview
Lead Retail Merchandise Planner – Apparel (maternity contract) – QVC, Greater London, United Kingdom. Based in Chiswick Park, West London, 12-month maternity contract.
You will prepare, monitor and, if necessary, adjust the business plan within the scope of the budget (Sales, Inventory, Airtime & Margin) for the Beauty Category. You will partner with the buying team, providing analysis of sales and margin.
Responsibilities
- The Lead Planner is responsible for active participation in and improvement of processes that maintain and increase sales and productivity.
- Manage the product lifecycle through strategic and balanced use of promotion and maximisation of airtime, providing postmortem business analysis to support future buying decisions and strategies.
- Control schedules for live TV shows.
- Involve in developing ideas and strategy for the Beauty category.
- Partner with Buying to manage the open to buy.
- Control and approve all promotion and pricing decisions, shipping costs and markdown.
- Work with buying to control and approve any re-orders or return to vendor at item level.
- Involved in the review of campaigns and events across all platforms.
- As a Lead Planner, mentor Planners, developing their skills and providing guidance.
What You Bring
- Merchandising experience with a focus on managing products and categories with a minimum sales volume of approximately €50 million.
- Excellent decision-making authority to achieve key figures.
- Experience with financial metrics, especially margin, profit, sales and inventory management.
- Trade conscious with experience leading successful negotiations.
- Ability to analyse data and draw relevant conclusions to positively influence the business and solve problems.
