Your Opportunity, Your Team

As Broadcast Engineer you will support QVC UK. Under the supervision of Broadcast Engineering Operations Manager, your role will be to provide system support for the broadcast infrastructure and support for end users. Provide root cause analysis of escalated and complex incidents/problems related to broadcasting systems.

Where You'll Work

This role is onsite and will require you to work from our state‑of‑the‑art Media and Commerce Centre in Chiswick Park daily. This role is on a shift basis.

What You'll Do

  • Impart technical expertise of established broadcasting standards to the Broadcast Engineering team
  • Manage and optimize system performance of broadcasting systems to ensure 24x7x365 availability.
  • Develop and document standards and procedures for all broadcasting systems. Provide system support for all broadcast systems (video routers, audio mixers, cameras, robotics, switchers, intercom, etc.)
  • Provide all technical support for the omni channel broadcasting systems (On Air, Social Media, and web streaming services), including after-hours support.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in Broadcast Technology or other relevant technical qualification preferred
  • Broadcast Engineering experience.
  • Proficient with MS Office packages including Visio
  • High level of verbal and written ability - Competent with multiple computer operating systems including Windows and Linux based systems
  • Familiar with playout systems and theory
  • Familiar with different video formats, delivery methods, and platform requirements
