Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with around 3 years industry experience with an excellent foundation in Design for Metal Fabrication and looking to increase your technical skills on industry leading Special Purpose Equipment? On offer is a diverse and technically challenging role, where you have the ability to become a technical market specialist as well as input into overall business matters – such as upgrading the manufacturing facilities and new product directions. This is an exciting opportunity where you will take ownership for new designs – this will involve off the shelf products as well as Bespoke Designs.
Ideally you will have Solidworks experience but this is not essential as long as you have 3D CAD experience and have strong IT skills. It is essential you have good Metal Fabrication skills – Sheet Metal, Welded Parts, Machined components, etc. You will get the chance to learn skills in areas of Hydraulic design as well as some basic electrical and FEA analysis. This job is suited to talented individuals with some good foundations from their first job post graduation who are now ambitious to develop their skills. Being an SME family owned business you will have exposure to the senior team and will get the chance to shape the future of the business.
Day to day you will get the chance to liaise with manufacturing – everything is manufactured on site, so you will get the opportunity to be involved in areas of assembly and testing.
