About the role

We are looking for a technically-minded Product Owner to support the development of Qureight’s imaging platform that orchestrates complex workflows across a growing number of global trial sites and studies. The imaging platform supports two major customers. Firstly, our internal Clinical Operations team use the platform and its admin tooling to manage users, sites, and project onboarding. Secondly, our external clinical trial site users and pharmaceutical sponsors access different products hosted on the platform. The Product Owner will own agile delivery for the Platform team: taking the requirements, priorities and roadmap set by the Head of Product Management and turning them into well-defined, technically sound work the team can build.

The Head of Product Management owns the product roadmap, prioritisation, and all direct engagement with Clinical Operations, site users and sponsors. Your role picks up from there: translating agreed requirements into technical and architectural decisions, breaking them into implementation-ready user stories and tasks, and running the Platform team's day-to-day agile process (sprint planning, refinement, and review) so that what gets built matches both the customer requirement and represents sound engineering practice. Product Owners at Qureight tend to be technical by background, often coming from a development role, since a large part of this job is working directly alongside engineers on the implementation approach, not just defining what to build.

What you will do

The Product Owner will provide outstanding product ownership and requirements management for the Platform team, including:

• Agile delivery ownership. Run the Platform team's day-to-day agile process (sprint planning, backlog refinement, and prioritisation within the sprint), turning requirements and priorities set by the Head of Product Management into a well-organised, appropriately-sized backlog.




• Requirements translation. Take user requirements and priorities defined by the Head of Product Management and translate them into clear technical and architectural decisions the Platform team can build against.




• Story & task breakdown. Break requirements down into implementation-ready user stories and technical tasks, working directly with engineers on approach and sequencing.




• Acceptance criteria & test specs. Define acceptance criteria and test specifications for backlog items, and validate delivered work against them before it reaches users.




• Engineering partnership. Work embedded within the Platform team through planning, refinement, and review ceremonies, effectively part of the engineering team from a process and delivery perspective.




• UX input. Bring a UX-informed perspective to feature design and prioritisation, especially for the products that external site users and sponsors interact with directly (e.g. Central Read system, upload UI, and sponsor dashboard), as well as the Clinical Operations admin tooling.




• Technical input upward. Act as the Platform team's main point of contact for the Head of Product Management, surfacing technical constraints, feasibility, and delivery risk that should inform prioritisation and roadmap decisions.




• GxP-aware delivery. Ensure requirements and backlog items affecting GxP-relevant systems are documented and validated in line with Qureight's ISMS and Management of Software Policy.

What we need

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

• Previous experience as a Product Owner, or as a developer/engineer moving into a product ownership or delivery-focused role, working directly within an engineering team.




• Solid hands-on experience with Agile ways of working, including running sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.




• Strong JIRA skills, with proven experience structuring and managing epics and backlogs.




• Comfortable engaging in technical and architectural discussions, and translating requirements into implementation-ready stories and tasks.




• Ability to write clear acceptance criteria and test specifications.




• Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working between technical teams and Product stakeholders.




• Comfortable managing a backlog and delivery cadence in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.




• Some UX experience (e.g. usability testing, wireframing), useful when translating requirements into implementation but not core to the role.




• Experience working on products used in clinical trials, healthcare, or another regulated environment.




• Familiarity with GxP, ISO 27001, or computerised system validation (CSV) concepts.

• A software engineering or development background, or other hands-on technical experience.
