A leading UK bank is seeking an experienced Salesforce Engineer. You’ll be at the heart of designing and building innovative Salesforce solutions – delivering secure, scalable applications, optimising user experience, and ensuring the platform is resilient and future‑ready. Accountabilities
- Build Engineering – Configure and customise Salesforce solutions using Flows, Apex, Aura, LWC, and OmniStudio to deliver scalable, upgradeable, and low‑technical‑debt applications.
- Integration – Design and implement secure, high‑performing integrations with APIs, middleware, and event‑driven patterns to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- DevOps & Automation – Apply branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and 2GP packaging to enable efficient, repeatable, and low‑risk releases.
- Quality & Reliability – Own delivery from development to production, with test automation, deployment plans, and monitoring in place to ensure resilience and reduce recovery time.
- Security & Compliance – Follow secure coding practices (CRUD/FLS, least privilege, encryption) and governance standards to protect sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration – Work closely with architects, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to align solutions with enterprise strategy and business outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement – Champion evolving engineering practices, contribute to Agile ceremonies, and trial new tools and processes to improve efficiency and predictability.
- Mentorship – Support junior team members through structured onboarding, coaching, and code reviews, building a culture of technical excellence.
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Provide technical leadership in Salesforce architecture, integration, and DevOps practices.
- Proactively address technical debt, ensuring long‑term platform stability and cost efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, influencing technology direction and delivery priorities.
- Foster a collaborative culture that values innovation, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to communities of practice, sharing knowledge and best practices across teams.
- Uphold engineering and compliance standards, ensuring solutions remain secure and audit‑ready.
- Expert‑level Salesforce data architecture, Flows, Apex, LWC, and OmniStudio.
- Strong integration expertise (APIs, ETL, asynchronous/event‑driven architecture).
- Proficiency in Salesforce DevOps (Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, 2GP packaging).
- Skilled in SOQL/SOSL optimisation and scalable data modelling.
- Strong grasp of Salesforce design patterns, component‑based development, and secure coding practices.
- UI/UX development aligned with accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design.
- Advanced version control (Git) and deployment tools (Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset).
- Experience in AppExchange evaluations and Build vs. Buy recommendations.
- Proven ability to mentor, collaborate, and communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience in agile delivery, contributing to iterative, high‑quality product development.
