A Tier 1 Bank is looking for a Principal Engineer to join its team, helping shape the architecture and delivery of key platforms that support millions of customers. This role will focus on driving technical excellence, leading complex engineering initiatives, and designing scalable software solutions while working closely with engineering teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable software solutions
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams
- Contribute to technology strategy and long-term architecture direction
- Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
- Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks to senior stakeholders
