Lead Data Architect | London or Edinburgh | Hybrid | Permanent
We’re partnering with a Tier 1 UK Bank to modernise the data foundations underpinning their Financial Crime capabilities, offering a unique opportunity to define the architectural vision for a critical, high-profile domain driving large-scale transformation. This role blends deep technical expertise with strategic influence, shaping architecture across an evolving enterprise data landscape while engaging stakeholders in risk, compliance, operations, and regulatory functions.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end data architecture strategy for Financial Crime, aligning with business goals and regulatory needs.
- Design cloud-native, event-driven architectures and lead the shift from legacy systems to streaming-first, modular platforms.
- Champion modern approaches like data mesh, federation, and data-as-a-product to enable scalable, future-ready solutions.
- Represent architecture in senior forums, shaping enterprise strategy and driving clarity in complex design challenges.
- Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and regulatory teams to deliver robust, compliant data solutions.
