The Director, AI Transformation plays a pivotal role in shaping and embedding AI‑enabled solutions across Data Sciences to drive meaningful improvements in efficiency, quality and scalability, while closely aligning with Quotient’s strategic ambitions. This role partners closely with engineering, analytics and Data Sciences leaders to turn business priorities into clear AI product roadmaps, accelerate adoption of AI and advanced analytics, and ensure solutions are delivered responsibly, compliantly and with impact.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Assess the current state of Data Sciences capabilities, identifying opportunities and gaps where AI can deliver the greatest value.
  • Define and deliver a clear AI product strategy and roadmap for Data Sciences, aligned to organisational goals, scientific needs and market expectations.
  • Prioritise AI initiatives across statistics, PK, data management, medical writing and programming, balancing impact, effort and risk.
  • Translate user and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements, with defined success measures for each feature or product.
  • Be accountable for ensuring AI solutions are appropriate for regulated scientific environments and are interpretable, trusted and credible in the market.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of AI products, from ideation and concept through development, launch and continuous optimisation.
  • Partner with engineering, analytics and Data Science teams to convert strategy into practical, high‑value AI solutions.
  • Maintain momentum by resolving blockers, making informed trade‑offs and keeping delivery on track.
  • Drive adoption, change management and long‑term value realisation of AI and advanced analytics across Data Sciences.
  • Support the development of AI literacy and confidence across Data Sciences teams.
  • Embed strong data governance, ethical AI principles and compliance into all stages of product development and deployment.
  • Track product performance, user adoption and business outcomes, using insights to shape ongoing decisions and roadmap evolution.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and product value in clear, practical terms for a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Mentor and coach team members, promoting collaboration, innovation and high performance.
  • Stay current with emerging developments in Data Sciences, AI, analytics and product management, proactively exploring new approaches to deliver future‑focused, value‑led innovation.
  • Build strong relationships with both technical and non‑technical colleagues, simplifying complex ideas where needed.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Quotient’s data capture processes and reporting systems, contributing insight to support the evolving AI roadmap.

Qualifications And Experience Required For Competent Performance

  • A background in Biometrics or Data Sciences.
  • Experience working within regulated scientific environments.
  • Proven experience driving change and delivering measurable results.
  • Demonstrable product management experience, ideally within AI, data science or analytics‑led environments.
  • A strong track record of delivering complex digital or AI solutions from concept through to launch and operational embedment.
  • Deep understanding of Data Sciences and Biometrics.
  • Strong knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, data engineering and analytics platforms.
  • Experience influencing across teams and stakeholders without direct line management responsibility.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles, data governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and technical mentoring skills.
  • Analytical, structured and strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving capability.
  • Ability to shape product vision and strategy and adapt communication to different audiences.
  • Experience working in GxP, validated or regulated software environments.
