About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Formulation Scientist on a 12‑month industrial sandwich placement within the Pharmaceutical Sciences Development team. This role offers hands‑on experience in formulation development in a fast‑paced, science‑driven environment. You will support the development and characterisation of drug formulations, contributing to projects that accelerate molecules from early development through clinical testing. It is ideal for students seeking a sandwich placement year as part of their degree.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in pre‑formulation and formulation development experiments.
- Prepare and characterise dosage forms under supervision.
- Document laboratory work in compliance with SOPs and GMP standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a degree programme that includes a placement year.
- Studying a relevant subject such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Drug Delivery.
- Strong interest in formulation science and drug development.
- Ability to commit to a full‑time 12‑month placement starting June–September 2026.
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and self‑motivated.
- Good computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
