Summary of job purpose
- Lead Quality Control Operations for the Alnwick Site, including QC Analytical and QC microbiology disciplines.
- Ensure Safe, Compliant, and Efficient Quality Operations.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer projects.
- Provide SME for the successful and compliant resolution of issues.
Qualifications and experience required for competent performance
- BSc or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Significant experience in operations management, preferably within GxP/GxP facing roles, preferably within pharmaceuticals/CDMO environment.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to inspire, motivate, and develop colleagues.
- Proven capability for defining and monitoring relevant metrics and driving continuous improvements to ensure first-class operational performance.
- Significant experience working with customer, commercial, finance, HR, and compliance teams.
- Flexible approach to new work challenges.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Active development of a Safe, Compliant, and Cost-conscious culture.
- Develop and maintain operational capacity of the quality control department in line with budgets and business plans, including:
- Human resources
- Capital equipment (existing, future needs)
- Management of Short/Mid-term scheduling
- Training and development agenda
- Succession planning
- Recruitment and onboarding
