We are looking for a QC Team Leader to join our team on a permanent basis at our Alnwick site. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated scientific professional to apply their expertise to the development, validation and application of analytical methodologies supporting the development of pharmaceutical APIs and products. In this role, you will interact directly with clients to ensure study requirements are met, while maintaining compliance with GxP guidelines and all relevant regulatory standards.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop, validate and apply a range of analytical methodologies.
- Prepare and where appropriate, approve high quality protocols and scientific reports connected with this work.
- Guide other team members in the development, validation and application of analytical methodologies and in the resolution of technical issues.
- Design, implement and report investigative studies to resolve technical issues.
- Supervise a team of Analytical Scientists.
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures and client requirements where appropriate.
- Work with due regard to health and safety of self and others.
- Work flexibly across the site to meet business needs.
Qualifications and experience required for competent performance:
- BSc (Hons) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of pharmaceutical testing, awareness of the current regulatory environment, knowledge of the drug development process.
- Experience in guiding professional or technical staff.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Flexible approach to new work challenges.
